BIOGRAPHY

Tim practices principally in the areas of contract and commercial law, public sector law and labour law. He provides commercial and other legal advice to large, medium and small businesses, entrepreneurs, tertiary educational institutions, municipalities, public entities and government departments.

Tim's focus is on negotiating drafting and vetting a wide variety of commercial contracts and other legal documents, including policies and legislative materials.

Tim has also chaired corporate investigations and boards of inquiry into incidents involving injury, loss of life and high-value property loss.

Drawing on his MBA, Tim is able to provide practical, business-orientated advice and input. He also has project management expertise, which he has applied to a range of high-profile legal projects.

Tim has a strong interest in plain-language legal drafting, and strives to produce simple, yet professional documents. He enjoys training and has presented seminars and workshops on a wide range of topics, including commercial contracts, black economic empowerment, procurement, consumer law and health and safety.
