Craig is a director in the Litigation department and leads the Specialised Recoveries team. This team is primarily tasked with debt collection for corporates and individuals alike. He is also an experienced attorney in criminal law. However, over the past five years, his practice has developed to focus more on general litigation where corporate entities form the basis of his client base.
Tim practices principally in the areas of contract and commercial law, public sector law and labour law. He provides commercial and other legal advice to large, medium and small businesses, entrepreneurs, tertiary educational institutions, municipalities, public entities and government departments.
Hiresen litigates extensively on behalf of the public sector and insurers, and has dealt with several high-profile, high-value matters. He brings an enthusiastic and practical approach to solving client problems, and has specialist skills in administrative, procurement, insurance and maritime law.
Nida Jooste is a director in our litigation department. Her practice has a strong focus on banking and finance law, foreclosures, specialised debt collection and disciplinary and regulatory compliance for legal practitioners. She has acted for clients in a variety of sectors and industries, including private individuals as well as commercial entities including Banks.
Nosipo Mgojo is a director of the Conveyancing Division. She joined the firm in 1997 and was admitted as an Attorney & Conveyancer in 1999 and as a Notary public in 2001. She is experienced in the registration of servitudes, local transfers, bonds and property development transfers.
Mohammed Motala is a Director at Venns and Head of the litigation department. He specialises in commercial and financial litigation.
Mohammed has extensive experience in High Court litigation, mediation, and arbitration with an emphasis on banking, commercial evictions, recovery of high-value debt, complex and high-value contractual disputes, corporate disputes, property-finance-related disputes, and general contractual claims.
Rob Pennefather attended Rhodes University to complete both BA and B Comm degrees. He graduated with a LLB from the University of Natal and worked as a partner at Brokensha Meyer & Partners. Rob has extensive experience and theoretical knowledge of Civil Procedure in both the High Court and the Magistrates Court.

Ayanda Chikwapa is a professional assistant in the Deceased Estates and Trust department which is headed by Hannah Szudrawski. Over and above her LLB, she holds a Deceased Estates Certificate from the University of South Africa.
Jessica Du Toit completed her articles at Henwood Britter and Caney, before joining AMC Hunter Attorneys. She has joined Venns' Public Law department and is enjoying honing her skills in this area.
